Smokey and Sweet Nuts
Made with Chipotle Maple Rub
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Pam a foil lined baking sheet. Or you could use parchment paper and not use spray.
In a large mixing bowl combine:
1 cup raw cashews (5 oz.)
2 cups whole almonds (10 oz.)
4 cups halved pecans (16 oz.)
Stir in ¼ cup maple syrup (real is better).
Sprinkle in 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Grind in ¼ teaspoon pepper (we use a 4 pepper version)
Add 1 TBs + 1 tsp REAL LiFE RUBS’ Chipotle Maple Rub
Combine ingredients making sure maple syrup coats the nuts, and the rub is fully distributed. Spread onto baking sheet then bake at 425 degrees on the middle rack for 18-20 minutes. Pull halfway through and stir.
Note: The type of nuts you use can be changed as desired, pumpkin seeds and/or sunflower seeds can be added to the mix as well.
Serve at room temperature.

Oh boy are these delicious! So easy to whip up, and serve as a treat, I had all the ingredients except for the raw cashews, but I used my almonds and pecans. Word of caution and another note: after you have turned them over, and reset your timer, keep a close eye on the last part of cooking. They can burn quick – so watch them!
Thank you for the recipe! So so good!!! Your rub gives these pecans & almonds a very nice flavor!
